12/26/18 Rain Event

4.0" rainfall recorded on the course. No damage found yet. All three fountains tripped, but we left the breakers off in the main pump house for now until the pond level on #9 and 10 subsides. Normal flood cleanup with debris, small limbs, bunkers washed, and minimal trash cleanup to be focused on today and tomorrow. Course closed for today, as the back nine is impassable and the front nine has too much standing water in areas.

Weekly Photos (12/20/18)

#1 pond in front of green (before vegetation was removed)

I used my john boat to remove brush and underwater limbs from the far side of the pond, then loaded them on a workman to haul to our brush pile

Weekly Photos (12/13/18)

12/13/18: #1 green looking back towards fairway

#1 Creek Brush Clearing

We've begun clearing out underbrush in areas with flowing water on the course to improve aesthetics. It began with the left side of the fairway on #1 (inside 150 yards), and now we've continued work up by the green. Once finished, we will work on the other side of the cart path to expose the view of the creek that runs in front of #4 tee box and under the path at #1, then we will begin a large-scale project to the left of #4 (which will require willow removal).

The areas that we cleared out in the following pictures will be planted with weeping lovegrass next year, in an effort to match the band that we planted on the other side of the creek in late spring.
